Cry Me A Rainbow!
By Bill Messick
Wes and I took a ride from Timpooneke Road to Grove Creek today, about 10 min from the bowl it started to rain, so I didn’t get any video or pics this time. This was a thunder and lightning storm that hit us, big cracks of thunder were right on top of us. It didn’t seem to bother Sam who was running in the rain loving it. As we got to the top near the campground the rain broke and the sun came out a little and the rain stopped. I knew from previous years that the clay on the downhill was going to stick us to the ground and it did. As we came down the other side the mud built up on our tires to the point that we had to stop and carry them for about 1/3 of a mile.

Ridge Trail 157
Had a broken spoke today so had to drop it off at the shop to get it fixed. When it was done I headed out for the ridge trail at the top of the Alpine Loop up American Fork canyon. About 20 min in I got a flat and spent the next 20 min fixing the problem before I got rolling. It sprinkled a little but the trail to South Fork was dry, and down and back up to the loop at the top was dry also.

Rode my first Enduro SL
Well my first time on an ‘08 Enduro SL test bike was a thing of beauty, it was so much different than my ‘05 Stump Jumper Elite.
Lambert Park 6-18-09
It rained all night again, had to find a place out of the mud. Lambert Park is always a good bet after a heavy rain, the sloped terrain dries off quickly. So me and Wesanator took off with two Enduro SL bikes and headed for the Bowery, there were three other cars there when we pulled up. Sam my dog was with us she really enjoys the trail at Lambert, likes to surprise the deer in the bushes. Wesanator had never rode the Enduro SLand I had an extra test bike from Bike Peddler in American Fork, so he got a chance to play on a AMB (All Mountain Bike) for about 2 hours.
