Today was a pretty cool day to be me, I picked up my bike from the shop with new brakes and disks installed and ready for me to abuse. So Sam and I headed up Provo Canyon to take a ride out at Big Springs Hollow’s 8k loop. I’m going to try and take a break on my knee and see if maybe If I give it a few weeks off then possibly I can get some trail running in. So I get up there and set up my bike and me and Sam head up the double track road to the gate at the big meadow, the colors are just amazing right now it is surreal as hell! I didn’t take a camera with me today but I wish I had, things get a little crazy later on to say the least.

So I worked my way through the field at a pretty good pace my knee feeling better with the spin, don’t get me wrong I love to trail run it is a perfect high but the bike is easier on the body for sure! So I make it through the field and hit the double track road up to the next gate, at just about the top of the road Sam my German Sheppard starts to give me the something is coming look and starts to circle the road in front of me. I’m thinking turkey or a deer but as I hit the top of the road I start to see heads bobbing out of the single track trail on my left. One after one a large group of 20-30 girls come running out on to the road, by the time they were all out I was right in the middle of there pack. Sam was all excited with her find and pranced around them checking them out and giving me the they are ok look! The girls each took a moment as they passed her to say hi and then we were all off, they split off the trail as I went through the gate and for a moment I thought they were going a different direction than me.
